Last Thursday, I found myself typing out my feelings to Chat GPT.

I was questioning my worth, wondering if I was even walking in the right direction.

And the response I got from this tool?

You are not stupid, and you are not lost—you are just exhausted. You’re not inefficient… You’re burnt out.

That hit me.

Because it wasn’t about my ability. It wasn’t about not being good enough.

I was just burnt out. Again.

When you’re driven—when you’re building something that matters—slowing down feels out of something you planned. Right?

We push through deadlines, chase next big goals, and convince ourselves that taking a break is a luxury we can’t afford.

Because passion drives us. And when you love what you do, it’s easy to ignore the warning signs.

But slowly, exhaustion seeps in.

Creativity fades.

Focus wavers.

The work that once excited you starts feeling heavier like an invisible weight pressing down.

And yet, we keep going. Because stopping feels like falling behind.

I felt it in small ways first—struggling to focus and feeling constantly drained no matter how much I slept.

That’s when I knew—I didn’t need to work harder. I needed to step away.

So, I did something I hadn’t done in a long time.

I packed a bag. Took time off.

Went back home.

No laptop. No work. Just time to exist.

I played with kids, something I usually brushed off because I was “too busy.”
I helped my mother in the kitchen, feeling the warmth of familiar routines.
I had long conversations with my parents—the kind I usually rush through because there’s always an email to check, a task to finish.

And for the first time in a long time, I felt present. Really present.

Now, I’m making changes—not drastic ones, but small shifts that make a difference:

Meditation – Even just five minutes to reset.
Evening walks – A chance to unplug, move, and clear my head.
Stepping away from the screen every hour – Because staring at work all day doesn’t mean I’m doing it well.

Because here’s the truth—burnout doesn’t come from working hard. It comes from never stopping.

If you’ve been running on empty, this is your sign to pause.

Your business will wait. Your mind, body, and soul need you more.
