If you find yourself saying this, your phone is ruining your routine.

Even 3 months ago, I was facing the same issues:

A constant urge to switch to social media.
Checking what the notifications are about.
The fun of scrolling through reels.

But this fun is a silent destruction.

Here are the 3 ways I used to overcome phone distraction and regain my focus:

(Now, I save 5 hours a week following these tips.)

1. Switch on Focus Mode

Lock distracting apps by following these steps:

→ Go to settings.

→ Open Digital Wellbeing.

→ Turn on ‘Focus Mode’

→ Select the apps you want to lock.

Now, locked apps will turn grey and will remain locked until you turn off or take a break from Focus Mode.

2. Do Not Disturb Mode

To enable this:

→ Go to settings.

→ Open Digital Wellbeing.

→ Turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’

Now, select people, apps, alarms, and schedules who can disrupt you.

This means only notifications from important or urgent contacts can appear.

3. Change content consumption intentionally

Do you have control over what you consume online?

Are you conscious while scrolling social media?

You become what you consume.

To know your future, check the feed of your Instagram account.

If it consists only of entertainment and pastimes, consider changing it to

Growth-related content
Self-improvement
Business Insights

If you mostly interact with light and distracting content, the internet will keep showing you more of that.

But if you start engaging with self-improvement content, you'll see more of it online.

So, the choice is yours.

It is you who decides what to watch, what to ignore, and how much time to spend.

Control yourself to master your time and day.

Growth-related content can be a bit boring, making it easier for you to switch off social media.
