I felt FOMO while scrolling through LinkedIn on December 31, 2025.

For the first time all year, I didn’t post anything.

I didn’t send a single email either.

And yes, it stung.

All because my life didn’t allow me to sit for hours typing on a keyboard.

My week was full of things happening at home:

I helped my mum and grandma prepare meals. We were preparing so many dishes to take with me.
I spent hours with my parents and grandma talking, laughing, and doing everyday chores.
I played with our new pet.

Then we moved back.

I came back from my home to the place where I live right now.

We shifted from one flat to another. Oh my gosh, it turned into two full days of work for me: packing, lifting, arranging, and settling.

While doing all of this, I saw everyone else was posting and showing up, and the FOMO hit hard.

I’ve been ruthlessly consistent all year.

So this pause felt unfamiliar and uncomfortable for a few moments.

Then, I recorded these thoughts to share with you all.

I calmed myself down, saying that this is how things are going. It's really great. It's great as it is.

I love this full life of family chaos, moving life, and spending time freely at home. I brought myself back to the moment.

Because not every season requires working and showing up for the world.

Some seasons ask us to show up for our little world, family.

Maybe you’ve felt this too.
