If you feel drained and low on energy, it doesn’t mean you lack productivity. But to use simple approaches to support your body and help you get work done.

So, in today’s edition, here are the easy and best productivity hacks that I use to avoid routine fatigue:

1. Change your place

The same environment we created for our daily work can become a great factor in declining energy. Your body demands a change in surroundings and gives you signals of fatigue, laziness, and slowness.

So, change your room or go to another desk.

If possible, find new places to work, like a library or a park.

This change isn't just physical but also psychological, impacting:

Your willpower
Your mental energy
Your mind's capacity

2. Plan in advance

There are two approaches to planning:

Think before every task about what to do.
Already have written there what to do.

In the first way, your time is wasted silently while thinking and planning after every hour.

In the second one, you speed up.

So, plan your week and day in advance.

Additionally, keep monthly goals to help you plan better.

3. Time blocking.

A to-do list is overrated when a filled page of tasks keeps you overwhelmed.

Despite having a to-do list, you still have to think and plan before each set of tasks, which leads to more time and energy wastage.

But when you block your time in the calendar:

You get notified of tasks (rather than checking what to do next)
You see a clear picture of the day’s work
You separate important tasks by blocking specific times for them

I implemented this change in July and started finishing my core tasks by noon.

4. Recognize your peak hours for creation

Your energy and willpower are limited but rechargeable.

The mistake we often make is forcing ourselves to work 12+ hours and questioning why we are stretching tasks when we don’t want to.

The reason is you have already used your limited energy.

Solution:

Recognize your peak and low productivity hours.

For example, I have high productivity in the morning and noon, while my capacity decreases in the evening.

Identifying this, I keep my peak hours for creation work that matters most to achieving my goals. I reserve lower productivity hours for less important work or tasks that demand less mental energy.
